General properties and applications

ROT-1580 2M is a high-quality, oil-resistant sealing material designed for the production of seals operating under severe temperature and pressure conditions. The material is characterised by very good resistance to petrol, fuels, oils and other operating media used in the automotive and industrial sectors.

Thanks to the use of double-sided reinforcement with perforated galvanised steel sheet, the material offers high mechanical strength, high tear resistance and dimensional stability when operating at high temperatures and under high pressure.

It is particularly recommended for manufacturing intake and exhaust manifold gaskets in vehicles and machinery operating in demanding conditions.

Material

The ROT-1580 2M gasket sheet is manufactured from:

• synthetic fibres
• inorganic fibres
• special sealing fillers
• nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR)

The material has been further reinforced with double-sided reinforcement consisting of 0.2 mm thick perforated galvanised sheet metal, which significantly increases its durability and operational resilience.

Colour: silver.
