In CF2-version engines—specifically the 1.9 JTD 105 KM and 2.4 JTD 136 KM engines—where the valve is vacuum-controlled, it is possible to block the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve without modifying the control module. The computer does not display a “check engine” error.
