Gambit AF-1000 1.5 mm gasket sheet – 500×750 mm sheet for cutting gaskets

The Gambit AF-1000 gasket-cutting sheet (1.5 mm, 500×750 mm) is a sealing material used by workshops, service centers, and DIY enthusiasts. An asbestos-free aramid sheet (commonly known as Klingerit) with consistent manufacturer quality. The aramid sheet is reinforced with steel mesh and offers very high mechanical strength. It performs well in high-temperature flanged connections, under pressure surges, and with high fluid flow rates—including in the automotive industry.

At ADITECH, we cut the 500×750 mm sheet from original Gambit material (manufacturer’s sheet size: 1500×1500 mm). A versatile size for several gaskets at once or a single larger one—e.g., for a manifold, valve cover, or pipe flange. It fits in a workshop drawer.

Why choose the AF-1000 sheet?

  • Temperature resistance: up to 350°C (continuous operation from -40°C; up to 420°C for short periods; up to 250°C in steam)
  • Maximum pressure: 12 MPa
  • Resistance to media: water, steam, kerosene, gasoline, fuels, oils (not recommended for acids and bases)
  • Works well as a material for exhaust gaskets—manifold, turbo, and EGR gaskets
  • Asbestos-free material—safe to handle and install
  • Easy to cut: with a utility knife, scissors, a die cutter, on a plotter, or with a cutting machine
  • Genuine Gambit material, well-known and widely used in industry and the automotive sector

What is the AF-1000 gasket sheet used for?

Typical applications:

  • gaskets for manifolds and exhaust systems
  • high-temperature flange joints
  • systems with large pressure fluctuations
  • automotive
  • gaskets in fuel and oil systems

How to cut a gasket from a gasket sheet?

  • Trace the shape of the old gasket or flange directly onto the sheet.
  • Cut along the outline with a sharp knife, scissors, or a die cutter—for large batches, a plotter is best.
  • Drill the screw holes with a punch or hole saw, and gently smooth the edges.
  • When installing, tighten the screws evenly, in a crisscross pattern, using the torque recommended for the specific connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the AF-1000 panel contain asbestos?

No. Gambit AF-1000 is an asbestos-free material that complies with applicable regulations.

What thickness of gasket sheet should I choose?

Thinner sheets (0.3–1 mm) work well on smooth, rigid surfaces, while thicker ones (1.5–4 mm) better fill in unevenness and compensate for flange deformation. The easiest way is to measure your old gasket.

Need a different size or thickness?

We offer additional sizes and thicknesses of this material—and if you can’t find the size you need, write to us, and we’ll check if we can cut it to size.

The specified limit values (temperature, pressure) do not occur simultaneously and are for reference only. The selection of material for a specific application should be verified against the manufacturer’s technical data sheet.
