Victor Reinz RS 2 mm gasket sheet – 250×750 mm sheet for cutting gaskets

Victor Reinz RS, 2 mm thick, is an asbestos-free fiber-elastomer sheet (commonly known as Klingerite) designed for cutting flat gaskets—from small washers to large flange gaskets. Available in this size: 250×750 mm. Victor Reinz gasket material on a steel backing: corrugated, galvanized sheet metal coated on both sides with a soft sealing compound. It combines high mechanical strength with good surface conformability—a classic material for cylinder head and manifold gaskets.

At ADITECH, we cut the 250×750 mm sheet from original Victor Reinz material (manufacturer’s roll, 500 mm wide). A versatile size for several gaskets at once or a single larger one—e.g., for a manifold, valve cover, or pipe flange. It fits in a workshop drawer.

Why choose the RS sheet?

  • Temperature resistance: up to 400°C
  • Maximum pressure / compressive strength: max. surface pressure of 100 N/mm² at 300°C
  • Chemical resistance: oils, fuels, mixtures of water and antifreeze
  • Works well as a material for exhaust gaskets—manifold, turbo, and EGR gaskets
  • Asbestos-free material—safe to handle and install
  • Easy to cut: with a utility knife, scissors, a die cutter, on a plotter, or with a cutting machine
  • Genuine Victor Reinz material, well-known and widely used in industry and the automotive sector

What is the RS gasket sheet used for?

Typical applications:

  • cylinder head gaskets for internal combustion engines (typical loads)
  • intake and exhaust manifold gaskets
  • gearbox flange gaskets
  • high-pressure pump gaskets
  • seal locations subject to mechanical and thermal stress

How do you cut a gasket from a gasket sheet?

  • Trace the shape of the old gasket or flange directly onto the sheet.
  • Cut along the outline with a sharp knife, scissors, or a die cutter—for large batches, a plotter is best.
  • Drill the screw holes with a punch or hole saw, and gently smooth the edges.
  • When installing, tighten the screws evenly, in a crisscross pattern, using the torque recommended for the specific connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the RS panel contain asbestos?

No. Victor Reinz RS is an asbestos-free material that complies with applicable regulations.

What thickness of gasket sheet should I choose?

Thinner gaskets (0.3–1 mm) work well on smooth, rigid surfaces, while thicker ones (1.5–4 mm) better fill in unevenness and compensate for flange deformation. The easiest way is to measure your old gasket.

Need a different size or thickness?

We offer additional sizes and thicknesses of this material—and if you can’t find the size you need, write to us, and we’ll check if we can cut it to size.

The specified limit values (temperature, pressure) do not occur simultaneously and are for reference only. The selection of material for a specific application should be verified against the manufacturer’s technical data sheet.
